Gobble Til Ya Wobble
Ah - Thanksgiving! We ended up having 2 Thanksgiving meals. The first, prepared lovingly by family was at Aunt Ruth's house. It was nice to get together with family. A and K had a great time getting all the attention. A wore a very smashing blue velvet jumper - he LOVED that. I guess we actually had 3 Turkey meals, since we had turkey/dressing on Tuesday prepared by Whole Foods (love that deli counter!)
The 2nd was prepared by Daddy P - delish! We brought home a plate for the pups - they were in doggie heaven!
I made my hashbrown and green bean casserole. TASTY goodness. We didn't have any to bring home.
I have vowed to get back on my South Beach plan to see if that helps with my tiredness. I have been consuming more sugar than I normally do and with the extra pounds added by the Prednisone - I am not feeling my best. It would be nice to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. It was hard to lose all the baby weight and then gain 15 lbs after the steroids...sigh....what's a girl to do...

Poor Poor Me
Just as I thought - 9 vials of blood later - the doc tells me - test results are normal. So now I get to wait until I am in a flare-up, NOT take anything and come back so she can 1) see the rash/joints and 2) run MORE BLOODWORK!
Can I just say that I am sick of this? I know there are people who suffer with years with illness they can't name/find - well its been a year and I have had intermittent flare-ups for the last 6 months. Some nights I can't sleep and some days, it hurts to just breathe. I just want to find out what this is, so I can move on with my life.

Rash Rash Rash
Well, I am at the end of a 4 weeks outbreak of whatever the heck I have. Could it be Still's Disease or do I have Celiacs Disease - hopefully we will know soon. The vampires at the dr's office took 9 - yes 9 VILES of blood on Monday to run a bunch more tests on me. I am back on Prednisone (so much for the diet) for a few weeks to get this outbreak under control. The joint pain was much better after about 3 days, but I still have a lovely red rash covering about 50% of my body. This time the arms and back itched like no tomorrow - that only happened the 1st outbreak. The 2nd one (4 wks after little man arrived) didn't itch at all, but the joint pain was worse.
There have been several nights the last few weeks were I have been nothing but miserable- pins and needles - like my skin is going to crawl off. That's better now, so I am in a better mood! Dr Oracle has to help out more when I am in an outbreak because my wrists/fingers/hands don't move as well...I am too young to feel this $#*@ old!

Remembrance Photography -
Dealing with the death of a child - either through miscarriage, stillbirth or whenever is never an easy thing to deal with - Although I never speak of it outside family - I suffered a loss in 2004 that I will never, ever forget.
One site supports infant bereavement photography. I please everyone to sign their petition to raise awareness for this subject!
My heart goes out to all the parents listed and for the countless others who have had to face this kind of tragedy.
